I finally went to my first concert since moving to TN! Actually, the whole family went. My hubby and I really enjoyed it. My youngest fell asleep (somehow) and both boys kept themselves digitally entertained. I, too, was guilty of check-ins and tweets =).
Sanctus Real headlined and Unspoken, Bread of Life and JJ Heller opened. It was my first time hearing most of these openers. You never know what you are going to get. I've gotten bands I did not enjoy before and I've also gotten a little known singer with an acoustic guitar named Phil Wickham before. I was diggin' all these acts so that was great. So now, I've been listening to Sanctus Real like crazy because they were awesome and I really felt their music was moving and touching and it was just a great worship experience.
It was cool to be able to get my camera in to take a few shots. Although we sat pretty much way in the back, stage left and of course, I had a super tall guy a few rows up in front of me. Murphy's Law, grrr. My best lens for the job was my 28-75 2.8 but thankfully, I was able to utilize my 36.3MP and crop like crazy. And this is a sample of what I got. I only did really minor edits (except on one where I played a little). Straight out of camera is pretty sweet, huh?
